Fulgurite
(fulgur: Latin for thunderbolt)

When Heaven meets Earth with a lightning strike, for one second the
surface of the face of the Earth becomes approximately 50,000 degrees
Fahrenheit, or 3 times hotter than the surface of the sun. Lightning
releases a tremendously powerful electrical discharge at the point of a
strike. In that second the earths matter is transformed. The explosion at impact
initiates an underground expansion which melts everything in it’s path,
and, in perfect quartz-sand conditions, results in a natural glass tube-like sculpture called fulgurite. It’s shape
duplicates the path taken under the ground by the lightning bolt as it
dissipates into the earth. Sand silica, rocks and minerals are
transformed into a glass lining in the tube. This lining is called Lechatelierite and is the "lightning glass" that is in the pendants seen here.
Fulgurites can be used in prayer and meditation.
They help intensify concentration and improve blood circulation.
They also have a strong, high-frequency vibration,
and they seem to hold a clear connection with the powerful electrical
force that created them. Holding a Fulgurite, one may sense a vortex of
energy whizzing through the chakras and all levels of the Light body,
purifying and cleansing the entire system.
Fulgurites are amazing examples of earth and sky meeting very shortly to create something that lasts forever.

Also known as petrified or fossilized lightning, fulgurites are shaped in the path of lightning and can sometimes reach several feet into the ground, but the tubes are only 1 to 2 inches in diameter at the most and anything larger than that is extremely extremely rare...Which is why it is so amazing that a discovery was made in the green mountains of Vermont where large and unusually beautiful fulgurite tubes were found, varying in shape and size, with one that was 12 inches in diameter (see pictures below). This is unbelievably rare! It is a HUGE fulgurite that looks like it must have been made from an unusually massive earth shattering lightning strike. These pendants are made with the lechatelierite from the incredible fulgurites found in Vermont.
We are very excited to introduce these powerful fulgurite/lechatelierite glass pendants to the world. The lechatelierite ranges in color as shown in the pictures, most are either amber, grey, green or brown. Some are encased in all clear glass and others have a background color. Each piece has been treated with care and respect to gently melt the glass around each piece and leave the lechatelierite in it's natural shape, the way it came from the earth and sky. Most of these pendants are not completely round because they have taken to the shape of the lightning glass.

Shown above is the biggest piece of the tube that was excavated from the site.
Below are fine examples some of the different colors found in the lechatelierite from Vermont.
